It may be my issue with the new FR2 direct to print server printing...

With FR1 your client would autoconnect to a network print server
resulting in a mapping of client\%computername%\print01\syd50SE

With FR2 , citrix recongnises the printer and maps your client directly
to \\print01\syd50se

This problem is when a client connects over a slow link from a remote
office with 6 mapped printers, it tries to map a windows printer x6
which takes forever.

This cannot be turned off in the CMC.

I have a design request in which apparently has been approved to have
this turn off and on by print server..

Ie. I want my australian print servers to use this methond on good links
but my london office print server not to do this.

My work arounf was to make 1 server FR1 for my 2 overseas offices.

We found yesterday with an FR2 server users default printers can be
messed around with unless you are using the FR@ client 6.30.1050.

Ie usera logs in a their default printer is A

Userb logs in and their default printer is B

Sometimes this will also reset usera 's default printer to B also

Subject: [THIN] FR2 Printing clarification

Hi
I remember a post a few weeks ago about a problem with FR2 printing and
promptly lost it. I have also noticed a couple of posts today mentioning
FR2 issues.

Would someone mind clarifying the actual problem with FR2 printing is ?
I was talking to Citrix today and they knew nothing of any issues.

Thanks for your time.
