[THIN] Error 1000

Has anyone found a good solution for this?

The noted solution, to restrict access on the XP machine is not feasible for my 
environment since I have no control over the PC's in question, and in most 
cases there isn't an onsite IT that is capable of doing this.
Does anyone have a better solution?
