I think you will find that the problem is to do with the default way DOS
clients "find" MF servers with a UDP broadcast - which by default is turned
off on XP.

If you open up the CMC, select your farm, then open the properties settings
window for the fame and then open Metaframe settings tab you can enable
"Data collectors respond to ICA Client broadcasts"

Also on your dos clients you can enter the IP addresess of your servers in
the server location which will make them go a specific servers for farm
information rather than just broadcasting a "is there any citrix servers out
there" type message via UDP.

Subject: [THIN] DOS TCP clients

Hi All

Anyone got any experience with DOS clients running TCP to connect to =
2003/XPFR3. We were doing OK with NT/MF1.8 until the upgrade.... sigh =
;-)

We can get the dos network client working and can ping the network and =
even access files on a mapped share but cannot use the WFClient to =
access the MF server...?

Any thoughts

Kev
