Good point about the Java client on the Linux on MIPS, that's probably the best solution otherwise I think that you need to rely on compatibility with your desktop manager but I could be wrong - it's been almost a year since I built a Linux embedded image and that was for an ARM. As far as CE there is not a specific MIPS image on the current client that I'm aware of but you can download the all processors client from mycitrix and utilise that - it can be packaged up but the default is to execute the package on a windows pc that is attached to the device and push the install.
