I ended up just deleting the entry out of the RunOnce key after R02 installs
and then execute the original line after Altiris restarts the server.

Annoying, but it works.

To avoid the shadow key at all cost, i deny ?set value? at the key level of
hklm/software/windows nt/currentversion/terminal
server/install/software/citrix/pnagent for everyone? this way, it?s
impossible for anyone to modify that key.

Objet : [THIN] Citrix R02

Has anyone notice that R02 puts the following entry into the RunOnce key?

Value: UpdatePerfMonCounters

Data: Regsvr32 /s "C:\Program
Files\Citrix\System32\Citrix\IMA\MFXPPerf.dll"

I understand the need to register the dll again once it?s replace after a
reboot, but Citrix knows that the RunOnce key throws the server in install
mode. Doing so at this time causes timing issues with PN Agent (PNAgent
initializes for the Admin and WHAM! Instant shadow key entries hard coded
with the admin?s profile path)

Any ideas?

Joe
