No, the CITRIX server is W2K and we moved to a mixed mode setup in early June with no problems until I upgraded my machine. Now, everyone else can still connect, but I can't. The CITRIX server has 10 licenses on it, with an average of 5 being used at any one time... -----Original Message----- From: Jim Hathaway [mailto:JimH@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, August 02, 2002 12:19 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: Can't connect to internal CITRIX server after XP upgra de Very likely this can be a licensing issue. What was the old TS server, NT 4.0 TSE? If so, where MS TS licensing wasn't as closely monitored, in Win2k TS servers it most certainly is. In order to run a Win2k Citrix server, you must have a licensing server on your domain. Regardless of being a mixed domain or not, if your domain is upgraded to Win2k, you must have the TS licensing service installed on a Win2k domain controller. If your domain is still NT based, you can install the TS licensing server on any Win2K server in your domain (even the TS server). You have to do this, and of course be properly licensed through MS for all of your connecting machines in order for remote connections to work, in addition of course to proper Citrix licensing. . . ;) HTH J -----Original Message----- From: Chad Pirowski [mailto:cpirowski@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, August 01, 2002 8:02 AM To: Thin (E-mail) Subject: [THIN] Can't connect to internal CITRIX server after XP upgrade I have just upgraded my machine (rather, wiped it clean and rebuilt with XP) and now I receive a message when attempting to connect to the internal CITRIX server "network or dialup problems are preventing communications with the CITRIX seerver, an attempt to automatically restore the connection will begin after a delay...." I don't see the difference in settings from before the upgrade to after, except, we are running a mixed mode 2000 domain, and before, my machine name was PIROWSKI, now my machine name (as shown when right-clicking My Computer/Properties) is PIROWSKI.accounting.domainname.net.... could the change in domain name have anything to do with it? External connections have all been fine/not affected at all....
