Hi Jeff,

Nothing that special I guess, lockdowns on the directories is just about
it.

I suspect this could potentially happen anywhere users don't have r/w
access to the drivers directory.

The everyone group has been removed, authenticated users and power users
have rx and admins and system have full access. Driver distribution is
normally only via the CMC printer driver applet after testing.

Had a look for changes (before I knew what was going on) and the only
causative factor appears to be the new driver. Drivers without external
includes don't cause any problems at all. The problem child happened to
be one HP driver with all "new" include GPDs.

regards,

Rick

        That's pretty interesting stuff, Rick.

What kind of "lockdowns" do you think is most problematic? File
permissions on those directories?

                Hi People,

Been having a really good run with 2003 printer-wise,
until a couple of weeks ago.
