Hmmm. I thought W2k AS was better with above 2Gb memory. We have now NT4 =
with 3.5Gb ram and will soon be moving to Win2k. We are still thinking =
about W2KAS or W2K as OS.

Don't use W2K AS for thin client - it offers no benefit over W2KS.=20

Assuming you're looking at a single server I'd spec something like a Dual
P3/1000 with 2GB or RAM and a couple of smallish hard drives mirrored. The
memory is the most important thing with a thin client server.

Subject: [THIN] Linux based thin client software...

Has anyone had much luck attempting to use Linux thin clients? What were
the advantages and pitfalls you've come across?=20

The company I work for is having me look into them, and I've tried PXES,
but I'm looking for other alternatives....
Additionally, what would you say would be a good jumping point
(approximation of course) for your basic Office + other data entry
setup? In other words, what kind of processing power & RAM would be
needed for your basic office of about 20-30 users? Is Win2K Server
allright, or do you suggest going with Advanced server for the terminal
services server?

Thanks for any help available!
