Sounds like a bunch of whiny users. Well, I guess most of them are when you get down to it but anyway. We backup our profiles by using roaming profiles. The centralized storage server which holds their profile gets backed up. It's amazing how lazy some people can get. The type the name back in once, just one time and it will be back in the nk2 file. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Peterson David Sent: Wednesday, November 14, 2007 4:51 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Backing up user profiles on Citrix? How many of you back up all the user profiles on your Citrix servers (and use Citrix primarily as a remote access solution)? We have not been backing them up, as documents are supposed to be in our Document Management System, and we don't back up any folders on users desktops. Recently we had to restore our Citrix server and I have gotten several complaints that their autocomplete in Outlook no longer works, since their NK2 file was not restored. I would be interested to see how many back these kinds of files up. I have had no one complain that a document or bookmark was lost, but several complaints that the loss of this file will cause hours of work and lost contacts.
