Yep, eDrawings is all cool. You can simply disable the registration wizard
from showing by setting a registry value for HKCU, and it doesn't nag any
more.

Cheers,

Jeremy.

Aha,

Ive been looking for a decent free viewer for our Citrix environment.

We may move onto to Autocad in the near future.

Does the E Drawings viewer suffer from lots of nag screens or limitations ?
Registration prompts , auto updates etc etc

Can they be turned off by a simple preference file ?

I know you cant ask for much for a free viewer ....

Many thanks for posting the link

I'm not sure Ronnie. For .DWG files I install Solidworks eDrawings Viewer:
http://www.edrawingsviewer.com

Cheers,

Jeremy.

Hi Jeremy,

back again....

....Got this installed fine + the MS hot fix to get it to open in 2003.

The drawings the users are trying to view are .dwg

Which it states requires True View 2011 which I have downloaded and
installed.

When I try too open a .dwg file it try's and says I need a newer version of
True View, I thought I installed the latest. Have you had this working in
the past.

I going to try and get any patches services packs now to see.

thanks

Ronnie

Yep, as most of my deployments are mining, resources, oil and gas, I always
deploy these viewers.and there is nothing wrong with having multiple
editions of the c++ libraries on the servers.

Cheers,

Jeremy.

Hi,

Anyone successfully installed AutoDesk Design Review 2011 on a Win2003
server running XenApp 5

I started the install but when it asked me to install C++ 2008
Redistributable components I backed out, as I there is 2005 installed and I
was a bit weary of installing it.

If not I have a test box that I will try it on.

thanks
Ronnie
