HI Mark,

You don't need any audio hardware in the server, but the clients obviously have
to have that ability.

However the audio capability has to be properly enabled, and it can be disabled
at multiple levels which makes it really fun at times.

You can disable audio support via the ICA client, published application
properties, terminal server connection properties, user session properties and
Citrix policies. If any one of these is set to disable audio, it won't work.

Mae sure everything is turned on, and you'll know you've succeeded when you can
go to control panel > sounds and actually get something out ;-)

regards,

Rick

Subject: [THIN] Audio hardware error when playing videos

Guys

I am trying to test playing of videos within the metaframe session. I
see all the sound options greyed out when looking at the audio devices.
I cannot see how to enable the sound. Does anyone know if you require a
sound card installed and configured to enable audio?

Thanks in advance
Mk
