Did you actually change the registry key for AU under hkey_classes_root or
do it via the control panel? Check the registry. What version of Citrix is
it?

Changing the audio file associations hasn't helped either.

This may not technically be a thin client question but it IS affecting one
of my Citrix farms, so there.

We have an app that generates .au and .snd files, but they aren't audio
files. Unfortunately, Explorer thinks they ARE audio files and displays any
folder that contains them with Artist, Duration, Year etc columns but no
Date Modified. The users need to sort the list by modification date. They
can add the column by right-clicking but it would be better if it was always
there.

So, is there any way to tell Windows 2003 not to waste time pretending to
be down with the kids and just display all files in the default explorer
format? I've tried adding the column in install mode and setting all folders
to use the same settings but it doesn't stick.

Thanks
Angus
