I thought some of you may find this interesting. I know some of you
have a need to do this. The package mentioned may be the answer.

Software links USB scanners to thin clients

RemoteScan, a developer of networking software for scanners, on
Tuesday announced the release of RemoteScan for Thin Clients.

The Windows software lets users attach any USB scanner directly to
their Neoware, Wyse, or other thin-client appliance, and then scan to
any Windows application running on a Windows Terminal Services or
Citrix server. No additional hardware is required, RemoteScan said.

RemoteScan turns any TWAIN-compliant scanner into a network scanner.
Users working at their own computers can share scanners -- scanning
and importing directly into their own applications -- without the
purchase of additional hardware.

With RemoteScan for Thin Clients, Terminal Services and Citrix users
can meet HIPPA and Patriot Act scanning requirements even when using
thin-client appliances.

Available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Dutch,
RemoteScan for Thin Clients is currently compatible only with Windows
XPe (i.e., Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1). The software
is priced at $189 for 10 seats to be used at one physical location.
