In a nutshell..

XenDesktop is the Citrix VDI solution.

Virtual Desktops fed out using ICA.

There are options for behavior and control depending upon the source
of the Desktop (physical PC, blade, virtualization backend (XenSource,
VMware, MS, etc.) and user assignment.

There is a version 2 of the TechPreview currently out that puts all
the pieces together - XenDesktop, XenSource, Provisioning Server.

Stream a Desktop onto your hardware virtualization Host, then control
that desktop and ICA it to your end user.
