There is a problem with one of the critical updates that was released last
week that causes the profile not to load when logging on. Does anyone have a
solution to this yet?

Thanks

Curt

yap - the server's been running stable for the past 2 months. no updates
have been done since then.
any suggestions as to how to find out which updates are good for running on
terminal server. btw i
pulled one disk from the raid before updating - put the other disk back in
and the server's running fine again.
however i'll have to run the updates sometime ...

greets

Sascha,

Has been a while since you last updated? I had a similar problem after
installing all the RPC and DCOM patches. I had to roll back. adam

hi

just updated my server trough windowsupdate. all went all right but when i
tried to logon with a user-account i got an error message, stating that a
local profile already exists (c:\doks&settings\ contains admin and default
user account only!) and that the user will be loged on with a temporary
account. under doks&settings a new folder called "temp" is then created. all
user settings are lost, however the roaming profile on the file server is
untouched.... i found something on technet
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3ben-us%3b297379 but i'm
not sure whether to set the system time back or not when installing
applications or hotfixes. how do you people handle updates ?

greets
sascha
