Do you mean that you had to physically attach the printer to your Citrix
server? Our Citrix server is 65 miles away from where we need to print.

What we have found and what ADP has told us is that the ADP software
does
not support network printing. We had to create local printers on the
Citrix
servers to be able to print.

Subject: [THIN] ADP Printing

We have installed ADP over our WAN, using Oracle on a Windows 2000
server. Users on the segment where the server is located can print
fine. When I print from a PC in a different segment of our network
(different city via T1 line and Cisco router), I do not receive the
print dialog box or any other indication that the job is printing.
Nothing ever came out of the printer or showed up in the print queue.
Printers are automatically connected at login and they are HP network
printers with their drivers installed on both the Citrix server and the
ADP Oracle server. I have several other applications which print
successfully with the same setup.
The users are running Windows XP and the Citrix server is Metaframe XP.
We have Cisco routers and T1 lines.
Is there someone who is using ADP this way and able to print?
Thank you,
Jeff
