[THIN] AAC 4.2 and 4.5 URL of Web Resource is too long

Hi All,
Has anyone ever run into a problem when publishing a Web Resource that some
of the links can generate a URL that is too long?
Internally, when the customer goes to that "About" page on their Intranet,
they end up with a URL similar to the following...
http://widportal.wan/wps/portal/!ut/p/kcxml/04_Sj9SPykssy0xPLMnMz0vM0Y_QjzKLN4h39gbJgFle-pGoIo5wgSB9b31fj_zcVP0A_YLc0IhyR0dFAEjMcTo!/delta/base64xml/L0lDU0lKQ1RPN29na21BISEvb0VvUUFBSVFnakZJQUFRaENFSVFqR0VBLzRKRmlDbzBlaDFpY29uUVZHaGQtc0lRIS83XzBfSVEvMQ!!?WCM_PORTLET=PC_7_0_IQ_WCM&WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT=/wps/wcm/connect/WID_HO/About+WID/
But once we publish this as a Web Resource, the "About" page looks like
this.

This comes to 431 characters.
The URL rewriting mechanism is unable to process this, so users just get a
"File not found" error.
Citrix are scratching their heads at the moment. We've tried both AAC 4.5
and have now rolled back to 4.2 with the same issue.
Has anyone come across this before? If so, do you know how to fix it?
My apologies if you see this post on other forums. I'm desperate for some
assistance here.
