I don't know what thread your talking about, but one thing you can check is to make sure your NIC settings are hard coded at the NIC and at the switch, if you're using a switch. You can hard code them to 100/Half or 100/Full, doesn't matter, as long as they're matching on both sides and hard coded. Sometimes there are problems with letting these things auto-negotiate.
