Hello Listeners,
Well, Friday is fast approaching around the corner once again, and on
Episode 82 of Flashback Friday, which will be airing on April 12, 2019, from
10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern, I, DJ Celrock, will be playing your usual
variety of music, and taking your requests and dedications, but besides
that, I do have something very special in mind for the program. For those of
you who may or may not know, one of our broadcasters, and good friends of
mine, Monty, the host of Monty's Grab Bag, has been living with me since
October 24, 2018. On the afternoon of Friday, April 12, 2019, after living
with me for a hair over 5 months, while he saw to resolving some personal
issues in his life, he will be leaving my place, and no longer living with
me at this time. So while Friday's show will be more or less, a regular show
for the most part, which is why I didn't go all out and post about this
special up on the station's blog, I will be playing several tunes that
either Monty and I enjoyed together, favorite songs of his, songs that make
me think of him, and songs to help us say goodbye. I will do my best to get
to all requests and dedications sent in, but please do understand that my
playlist is pretty full at this point, so if I can't get to your request
this week, rest assured, I will play it for you next week, on Episode 83 of
Flashback Friday, if not sooner, should I cover for anybody on this station
before then. I'll also give you the local weather forecast and tell you how
my final week with Monty living with me went. Despite it being bitter sweet,
all-in-all, it's been a pretty good week at the time of writing up this show
announcement, and I see Friday's show being bitter sweet, as well as the few
hours following it, as I see to sending him off, on his next adventure. For
this reason, I'll do my best, but please do forgive me, if the water works
should come on to the show, though I'll do my best, to make Friday's show,
an unforgetable one, at the very least.
