The download is digitally signed, which includes a checksum and other
security features to prevent modification. If the digital signature is
intact, then the file should be fine.

Just out of curiosity, is there ever a checksum of any kind with the
downloads? My internet connection isn't always working at 100% and I've
wondered if some of the glitchy behavior was because of a damaged download.
