BlankDunno, maybe. Maybe you could try Narrator (control-windows-enter is the
toggle) that turns it on and off.

Did it take a while to load? I did that but I got the home button then jaws
just sat
there. Did I not wait long enough?

You can go to settings with Windows I and search for default apps in the search
box.
When I bring that up, however, my system doesn't show a choice for default .pdf
reader -- possibly because I only have Adobe Acrobat.
If you try to look under default file types, that option takes forever to
populate,
which might be why you were having an issue.
You might have better luck by going to choose apps by default protocol. When I
brought that up, if you tab from the home button, default .pdf viewer was the
first
option/.

Subject: [the-facts-machine] Changing a default app in windows 10
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how to change a default program in windows 10? I want to
make
q-read my default pdf reader because pdfs won't open right in chrome for some
reason.
I went to default apps under settings and tried to pick change defaults by
filetype
but neither jaws nor NVDA will read whatever it brings up. Is there a way
around
this, or some way to make google chrome and adobe work together right?
Thanks for your help!
