A morning guest mentioned an Aplomado Falcon along New Carmen south of 1732
on their way to the park this morning. When I drove out this afternoon to
see if the bird was still around I found it in a freshly mowed field. This
area is being more extensively hayed today. The bird was visible as I
arrived but flew west, deep into the area being hayed.

Earlier this afternoon a Northern Bobwhite walked across the tram road,
just after the turn in the road at Hunter's Lane. We haven't seen or heard
a Bobwhite in quite a while so were very glad to see one again. It was
also very nice that four guests were able to get great views of the bird.
