Today a small, but significant number of the usual early season passerine migrants has been reported from the coast (the central Texas coast but likely to be similar elsewhere on the western Gulf coast). Gleaning bits and pieces from several reports we have N. Parulas, Black-and-white, Yellow-throated, Prothonotary Warblers, Louisiana Waterthrush, Scissor-tailed Flycatchers, and the expected swallows. Some scattered very light reflectance on the Corpus Christi NEXRAD is probably not diurnal migrants such as swallows and other echoes north of town are wind farms. Otherwise the western Gulf coast NEXRADs are clear. John C.
