All of the rain that soaked much of Texas and part of Louisiana has now
moved off to the NE except for a few showers in the New Orleans vicinity.
Upper level winds are light in Texas and from the SSW and moderate in
southern Louisiana from due W. Little bird activity is noted at midday
except for some offshore movement SE of Galveston heading E to shortcut the
Sabine River embayment. Coastal species such as gulls, terns, and waders
likely make up this movement. No obvious trans-Gulf migrants are observed.
