I arrived after Dean and Susan had left. Another birder had briefly talked
to Dean and Susan and just missed the bird when it flew off per Sue's
statement below.
When I got there about 8:30 AM, the 3rd birder had been looking for about 30
minutes with no luck. I looked for about 1 hour and left about 9:30. I
walked looking in the freshwater
on the beach side of the dunes walking south about 200 yards where the water
stops. Then walked north to the posts on the beach.

No sighting of the bird.

Dean Gregory and I have the red-necked phalarope at San Luis Pass at 7:20am.
It was in the tide pool and flew right into a grassy wet area.
