Hope everyone is staying safe out there! I had a fun visitor early this
morning outside my window. A beautiful male Yellow-headed Blackbird. My
wife yells at me to come and look at a bird similar to “butthead” (I’ll
explain later). I was able to grab a blurred photo of him before he flew
off. I was hoping he would come back again today but never saw him again.
So about “butthead”. It’s the nickname of a Keel-billed toucan I used to
take care of when I was a zoo keeper. He loved to bite and ram his bill on
the top of my head. He was a mean but lovable bird :).
