Howdy Texbirders,
Yesterday, Simon K. reported a couple of Yellow-green Vireos at the National
Butterfly Center, south of Mission and this morning I received a notice from
Dan J. that he was seeing them at this time. So, went to see if I could add
another bird to my Hidalgo County list. Seeing Dan sitting on the bench, I
figured the bird would still be there and sure enough, I heard it singing right
over my head. Over the next hour, both birds continued to sing with brief looks
and I was able to get off a couple of shots with my camera. Thanks Simon and
Dan for getting the word out.
