Greetings All:
Things have started to pick up a little bit - as my fall wildflower
plantings are starting to hit their marks and a cold front or two has
meandered into the region.
The hummingbird report: Monday through Saturday I was down to one immature
male Black-chinned Hummingbird. It was joined, on Sunday, by an adult
female Black-chinned Hummingbird.
On Monday (19th) I had a single Nashville Warbler hitting the sunflowers.
On Thursday (22nd) I had a House Wren in the brush pile and a Swainson's
Thrush in the wildflower garden.
On Sunday (25th) I had 1 male MacGillivray's Warbler and 1 male Wilson's
Warbler visiting the water feature and hiding in the wildflower tangle.
Not mind-boggling but nice for a yard in central Lubbock ... and ... the
Swainson's Thrush and MacGillivray's Warbler were additions to my 2016 list
for the yard:)
