I took off at 4pm from Round Rock, hitting all the normal locations around Granger Lake from last year. Just when I was ready to head home (5:20pm), I went down the east section of Cr 349 and I found one tiny window at the point where 349 almost does a u-turn away from the lake where I found the family of Whooping Cranes (3). Not a great look, but at least the sun was behind me and no jogging.
