Hello Texbirders,
Looks like the White-crowned Pigeon flew the coop. It was last reported on
Sunday evening before dusk. Not seen all day yesterday or today. It must've
of left ahead of the cold front. This morning when i got the SPIBNC i
noticed one of its favorite perches had been snapped off by the strong
north winds, i took that as a sign.
It was incredible to have that bird here for at least 13 days and i was
amazed at how cooperative it was. It was wonderful to see so many birders
visiting the SPIBNC and really getting the opportunity to enjoy the bird
and the comradeship.
Definitely a bird and an experience to remember for a long time!
