Texbirds,
The White Wagtail continues to show well through its 7th week below
Longhorn Dam on the Colorado River in Austin. It will likely continue
through the duration of it's prealternate molt. It's most reliable on one
of three gravel bars that are visible from the bluff overlook at Roy G.
Guerrero Colorado River Metro Park. It tends to stick close to the Killdeer
and/or the 3 American Pipits that are out there but sometimes ventures off
on its own.
Disclaimer: I am not advocating making a long trip to see this bird at this
time when all major Texas cities have shelter-in-place orders. I happen to
have essential work very close by and stop after work when I can.
