Today I birded Pace Bend Park and Reimer's Ranch in western Travis County. 11 Bonaparte's Gulls at Pace Bend were probably the best birds of the day. A personal high count for me in the county, plus great looks. They were foraging with Ring-billed Gulls on the west side of Pace Bend. Pace Bend also produced a pair of Black-throated Sparrows (the S. Thrasher pulloff), a pair of Canyon Towhees (the N. Gracy Loop pulloff) and my FOF Dark-eyed Junco. Reimer's Ranch was also fairly birdy, and was highlighted by three Common Ground-Doves and a Grasshopper Sparrow. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but a solid day of birding.
