Texbirders,
On 4 April 2017 the TBRC added the 2016 SPI Variegated Flycatcher,
Empidonomus varius to the Texas checklist.
By approval date that happens to be ABA #700, [Texas 549] although by
chronological seen date it bumps the Bananaquit I saw 3 weeks ago in SoFL to
700. Both nice birds to be associated with a seven and two zeros.
It was good to be on SPI last October chasing the VAFL and catch up with a
number of state-wide birding friends.
