Howdy All!
The birds were enjoying the warm weather this morning. There was lots of
activity around the lake and particularly the beaver pond. The beaver pond is a
good spot for Fox and Swamp Sparrow. It is also the best spot to locate Winter
Wren, Pileated and Hairy Woodpeckers . Come on this Saturday, January 14th for
a birding hike around the lake. We are starting at in front of the Silver Canoe
Park Store at 8:15 am.
