My wife just told me about a Facebook post talking about wild birds being
trapped in Texas. Coincidentally yesterday Tracey Prothro supervisor over the
Baytown Nature Center found people in the nature center with three bird traps
set and at least two held female Painted Buntings. She confiscated two of the
traps but they got away from her with one with a bunting still inside. The
bird was released back into nature but it just shows we need to be on our
toes.
