Spent a couple hours birding with Gabe De Jong and my dad this morning.
Right as we were leaving the condo, Gabe and Dad spotted a beautiful
Cerulean Warbler! A lifer for me and Gabe!

As we came home from birding, with an enjoyable stop at the SPI Convention
Center and a quiet one at the Valley Land Fund lots, we saw another good
migrant warbler in the same tree as the Cerulean - a female Blackburnian
Warbler!

Dad postulated that maybe the counterclockwise wind movement over the Gulf
could be pulling some migrants over this way, as neither species shows
up here much in fall migration.
