Subject: [texbirds] Sooty Tern - Milestone Bird
My mother, Francine Sanders from Bay City, just called to say that she and two
friends found the Sooty Tern – just as described earlier right behind the
port-a-potties at Rockport Beach Park at 11:30 a.m. Because I know she will
not report it, I just wanted to say that it was her 600th North American Bird
Species. She will turn 95 in November and still goes birding once a week!
Thanks to everyone who reported details so that she was able to locate the tern.
