Texbirds,
In case anyone is interested in one of the most impressive spectacles of
landbird migration around, there is a massive Scissor-tailed Flycatcher
roost along U.S. 181 south of Kenedy in Karnes County. The flocks begin
gathering at the Sunbelt Rentals office and stretch south along the highway
for over a mile. In the fading evening light I estimated about 1,500 birds.
