Braunfels.

Just had a new yard bird: an adult male Red-naped Sapsucker. Red on the nape
was clearly seen, as well as the red throat breaking through the black

Spring Branch is located on US 281 in Comal County, about 20 miles north of
Loop 1604 in San Antonio. I am located about 1 1/2 miles NE of the
intersection of US 281 and Texas 46, in dense live oak/juniper habitat, with
several Red Oaks and Cedar Elms in the vicinity.
