Howdy texbirders,
Recent analysis of the video of the "Ruff" proves conclusively that the
bird that was at 8mile road was not a Ruff. It is a Pectoral Sandpiper
based on "...the dark bar extending from the wingtip along the underwing
greater secondary coverts." (T. Leukering). Thanks to John Tharp for
getting the experts to weigh in on this puzzling bird. And thanks to all
those who gave input into this field ID problem.
