Thanks to all who responded with opinions on the gull. General consensus is
that it looks good structurally for Thayer's, but the photos are not good
enough to feel confident in making a call. I will leave the record as
Laurus sp. leaning towards Thayer's. Maybe someone will refind it and get
better looks/photos? At least everyone agrees it is an interesting gull.
