I birded Rio Grande Village today with a few nice finds. The best bird was a Long-billed Thrasher in the first 30 yards of the Rio Grande Village Nature Trail (so before the boardwalk). There were a number of species that are locally uncommon here as well. The highlights were: Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 2 Northern (Yellow-shafted) Flicker - 1 Gray Flycatcher - 1 Blue-headed Vireo - 1 (presumably one of the birds present in Nov) Cave Swallow - 11 (I suspect that these were migrants) Black-tailed Gnatcatcher - 14 Brown Thrasher - 2 Long-billed Thrasher - 1 Crissal Thrasher - 2 Black-throated Gray Warbler - 1 (female) I have places a couple of images of The Long-billed Thrasher and a couple of other images on my Flickr page (https://www.flickr.com/photos/70194759@N05/).
