This morning local Cub Scouts joined the bird walk, taking advantage of loaner binoculars that are available to walk participants as well as getting their first views of birds through our spotting scope. Despite dense fog, a nice covey of 10 Northern Bobwhite was easily visible as they walked back and forth across and along the tram road. A Couch's Kingbird was nice to hear near the Visitor Center. Black-headed Grosbeak was seen frequently yesterday, but missed by the bird walk. Nashville Warbler and Black-throated Gray Warbler are being reported and photographed near the Visitor Center and feeders.
