Ken and others, The TBRC will be starting a first round of voting on it next month. As far as I can determine, it was last seen on July 28th of last year and I had been holding the record a bit longer than usual to see if perhaps it would be rediscovered this spring (it was not) with the increased attention back on the Sabine Woods area during migration. Though the original bird has not been refound, I know that some of the hybrid offspring are indeed still around. The ABA will only vote on it if the TBRC accepts it; all the submitted material that the TBRC collected is considered by the ABA committee during that process. I will certainly let folks know when the TBRC has reached a decision. Thanks to everyone who took the time to submit documentation on this most unusual occurrence. -- Eric Eric Carpenter Secretary, TBRC (http://texasbirds.org/tbrc) ecarpe@xxxxxxxxx On Thu, Jun 27, 2013 at 3:07 PM, <kahartman@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Has anyone heard (or is willing to guess) when we might find out whether or > not the Sabine Woods bird will be accepted?
