Zeeeeeeee, Texbirds!
I had given up on having Pine Siskins visit me this winter, but
zeeeeeeeeeeee!...there they are right now. They have joined Lesser and
American Goldfinches at the feeders.
Had a few Common Grackles here the day before yesterday, a rare bird at this
location.
Am still seeing the Common Ravens off and on. I have to wonder if it is the
Red Bud Isle pair that Dan Smith spoke of in one of his posts. Perhaps they
have a wide foraging range.
Still only seeing Black-chinned hums, no Ruby-throateds yet. I am also
checking every male to see if last year's magenta-gorget, possible hybrid
hum has returned...no luck yet.
