This morning I had my first return fall migrants though I know many have
earlier. A couple of L. Yellowlegs, an unidentified peep and this telling
fellow. An adult male Hooded Warbler in Leander, Williamson Co. I
frequent this location and this bird was not here previously. The closest
known breeding location/habitat is along Alum Creek in the Lost Pines
almost 70 miles away. Our early southern warblers are about to trickle
back to the south. I did not have a camera but managed some poor
recordings on my Iphone of this morning's bird which can be found here:
