Kinki and I for a while covered just about every single back road of
Bastrop, Caldwell, Gonzales and parts of Lavaca and Fayette Co,s...Man we
were birding demons.....I recall a summer evening when we found about 40
Fulvous Whistling-ducks on a stock tank in northern Lavaca Co. and he said
"I wonder what they taste like" and he was serious about it. They were and
still are rare there. RIP Kinki.
