This Saturday Houston Audubon is hosting a Purple Martin Migration Madness
party at the Fountains shopping center in Stafford. The current estimate of the
number of martins is over 300,000. They are using the trees in front of the
Sports Authority at the shopping center. They are also using Gordon Lake park
behind the shopping center beforehand to drink and bathe. We will be setting up
our martin information booth at 8PM in front of Sports Authority. The birds
start to pour in around 8:30PM. Please make plans to join us and bring your
