Yesterday, we were in search of birds and bluebonnets. Of the 64 species
seen, some of the highlights or FOS are as follows.
Scissortail flycatcher - FOS
Rough-winged swallow - Inks Lake Fish Hatchery
White-fronted geese - Inks Lake Fish Hatchery flyover
Black bellied whistling ducks - Inks Lake Fish Hatchery
Rufous crowned sparrows - singing on territory at several locations
Vermillion flycatcher - Cedar Point
Yellow billed cuckoo - Cedar Point
Cactus wren - Inks Lake Fish Hatchery
Cinnamon teal - adult male at Cedar Point
We still were able to locate quite a few duck species.
As a side note, lots of bluebonnets!
