L. Debetaz
Kurth Lake( lift station) - went to primarily check on the status of the
Gallinules. 3 Purple Gallinules but no Common yet. One Anhinga, one E.
Phoebe, One Barn Swallow, 6 Am Coots, 2 Pied-billed Grebes, one Wood Duck(
male).
Ellen Trout Park- Both young eagles were at the nest site area and calling
for food. I stayed there for 45 min. but no response from the parent birds.
Also saw a small group( ~5) of Indigo Buntings, 2 Scissor-tailed
Flycatchers, one Mockingbird, 10 T.V. , one Black Vulture and one
Broad-winged Hawk.
VFW pond- Scissor-tails busily constructing a nest, one Green Heron, one
Blue-winged Teal, one E. Bluebird, two C. Grackles, and one Mockingbird.
